Frequently asked questions

How long does a website take?
Most projects take between 2 and 8 weeks depending on scope. A template build is usually live in under a fortnight; a fully custom site takes 4 to 6 weeks; bespoke builds take 6 to 10. I'll give you a fixed timeline before we start.
How does it actually work?
We start with a conversation about what you're planning. If it's a fit, I write up a clear brief and fixed price. Once that's signed off, design happens first, then build in Framer, with you in the loop at every milestone. After launch I'll walk you through editing it yourself and stay on hand for 30 days.
Do I need to have everything ready before we start?
No. Most clients start with a rough idea and figure out the rest as we go. I'll guide you through the decisions that matter — copy, imagery, structure — and we can shape it together. If you do have a clear brief, brand, and copy already, that just makes things faster.
What does a website cost to build?
Pricing starts at £900 for a template build, £2,800 for a fully custom site, and £6,000 for a bespoke project. Every quote is fixed before work begins, so there are no surprises. If you're trying to work out what your project would land at, the quickest way is a short conversation.
What does a Framer site cost to run after launch?
Framer's hosting starts at around £8 per month for a basic site, including a custom domain and SSL.
Are there ongoing fees?
There's no ongoing maintenance fee from me unless you want monthly support. Most clients run their site for a few years before needing anything significant changed.
Can you work with my existing brand?
Yes — most clients come with a brand already in place. I'll work to your existing type, palette, and visual identity, applying it across the site so everything feels consistent. If your brand needs some tightening, that's a small add-on we can build in.
Can I edit the site myself afterwards?
Yes. Framer's editor is genuinely easy to use, and I'll walk you through it after launch. Most clients can update text, swap images, and add new content without needing me. For anything bigger — new sections, structural changes — I'm available on a retainer or one-off basis.
Do I need to write the copy?
Most clients write their own copy, and I'll guide what's needed for each section. If writing isn't your strength, I offer a copy polish as an add-on, or can recommend writers I trust for fuller projects.
Do you work with clients outside the UK?
Yes, regularly. Most of the process happens over email and video calls anyway, so location doesn't matter much. I'm UK-based and most clients are too, but I've worked with businesses across Europe
